Water Babies began in 2002 and now teaches nearly 3,000 babies a week across the UK. We teach a highly specialised swimming course, created for babies less than one year when joining. It teaches confidence and safety – aiming to make children happy and confident in water right from the start.

Our chosen charity to support this year is The Ryan Stanford Appeal 18-month old Ryan lives in Lancaster and has been diagnosed with Alper’s Syndrome – a genetic disorder which affects both the brain and the liver. This terminal illness is very rare and little information is known about it. Ryan has uncontrollable seizures, is fed directly into his stomach, has extremely low muscle tone and cannot support his own head. Ryan’s parents, Anne and David set up the charity “The Ryan Stanford Appeal” in order to raise money to fund research into Alper’s Syndrome.

Professional photographer Gary Dring offers portrait photography for bumps, babies, toddlers and families. Photos can be taken either in his contemporary well-equipped studio, which is conveniently situated in Lancaster City Centre with ample parking, or in your own home if you prefer.
Appletree Children's Centre will be running a fabulous themed craft area at the Babymaze Baby and Toddler show this year. So if you have a creative kid bring them along to the show and look out for the special Appletree craft marquee in the Platform.
Morecambe Fire Brigade Morecambe's very own Blue Watch will be outside the Platform with their Fire Engine between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday 2nd May 2010.
