Many new mums find their local breastfeeding support group invaluable. Not only can you compare hints and tips with other breastfeeding mums, ask a health visitor for help and advice but you can relax in a truely breastfeeding-friendly environment. For those of you wanting to find out more about breastfeeding on a national scale there is a list of useful websites at the end of this page.

The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) aims to be an independent source of support and information for breastfeeding women and others. Association of Breastfeeding Mothers www.abm.me.uk A charity run by mothers for mothers. They offer a helpline number answered by trained volunteers who have all breastfed their own babies.
