What is a Children's Centre?Children's Centres offer a number of services to parents-to-be and children under five and their families/carers. The aim is for parents and local communities to get directly involved in running their local centres. Are Children's Centres open to anyone?YES! Some people think that only those who live in a certain area have access to Children's Centres but this isn't the case. Children's Centres can be used by anyone if they are pregnant or care for a child under five. Lune Park Children's Centre offers a variety of activities and services including antenatal relaxation, breastfeeding support, baby and toddler groups and even parenting classes! There is a popular cafe serving a range of healthy, reasonably priced meals. Lune Park Children's Centre is also the location of Nipper's Day Nursery which caters for babies-pre-school.

Situated next door to Ridge Primary School in Lancaster, Firbank Children’s Centre offers a wide range of exciting courses and activities for families, parent/carers and young children. Everything is free and all visitors are made to feel very welcome.
Appletree Children’s Centre is situated on Milking Stile Lane within Appletree Nursery School. We offer a wide range of free activities for families, parents/carers and young children up to the age of 5 including, Stay and Play, Baby Massage, Rap ‘n’ Rhyme and counselling services. We work in partnership with lots of other professionals to provide families with a variety of services all in one place..JPG)
Situated next to Carnforth high school, The Carnforth Hub is a modern, welcoming building offering a range of activities and information for local families. From baby club to adult college courses all groups and refreshments are FREE of charge.
Situated on Balmoral Road, adjacent to Sandylands School Foundation unit, Balmoral Children's Centre offers groups, activities help & support for families & parent/carers with children under 5 years of age. We work with professionals and agencies to provide many services, including regular Friday morning child health Clinic and midwife drop-in. |
