Lune Park Children's Centre
The Centre offers a wide range of exciting groups, courses and activities for parents-to-be, families, parents/carers with children up to the age of 5 years.
Located in Ryelands Park, Lune Park Children's Centre can be accessed by car via Torrisholme Road or on foot within Ryelands Park itself. There is a free car park on-site.
Upon entering the Centre you will be greeted by one of our friendly receptionists, who will be happy to discuss the many exciting activities and services we offer or point you in the right direction.
Reception area
Here your child can play with the toys or sit and read one of our many library books.
Welcome to our Sensory Room
Children delight in the wonders of our Sensory Room which contains a range of lights and textures to keep them entertained. The sensory room can be used by anyone with a child but will really appeal to children with additional needs. Use of the sensory room is free but must be booked in advance.

Monday
Toddler Group - come and join us for 2 hours of fun and activities including painting, music, singing, storytime and more. Suitable for confident toddlers.
Baby Massage - for babies from 8 weeks to 9 months; may help with sleep problems, colic, constipation, relaxation and bonding.
Child Health Clinic with Health Visitors - offers health advice for your baby or child. Meet other mums or chat to your local Health Vistor.
*Immunisations are available at Rylands House on Thursdays only from 10.00 to 11.00am - please ring 01524 519512 for further information.

Meet the Midwife – informal session for antenatal and postnatal mums. Birth planning; breastfeeding support, teenage support; triple test.

Tuesday
AOK Club - peer support group for parents/carers of children with additional needs with or without a diagnosis from birth to 8 yrs.
Wednesday
Childminder's Group (Munchkins) - for registered childminders. Come and join us for 2 hours of fun activities, singing and playtime or just to have a chat with other childminders.
Happy Tots - for children aged 1+ to come along and have some fun with crafts, musical instruments, action songs and rhymes.
Baby Club - come along, meet other parents/carers and enjoy playing with your baby.
YMG (Young Mums Group) - a place for younger mums and mums 2B to meet one another (teens-21). This is a small, friendly group where you can relax, play do craft activities or just have a chat with other mums.
Fizzy Kids - a group where you and your child can have fun together through dance and physical activities using music and movement. For children aged 18+ months who are confident walkers.
Thursday
Inbetweenies - a group aimed at children who are not babies but not yet confident toddlers (aged 12 months and competent walker). Allows them the chance to play and explore in a safe, friendly environment.
Messy Mates - for 2's to 3's - have lots of fun 'getting messy' with your child. Bring spare clothes!

Saturday
Dad's Club - want help, support & a friendly chat? Take part in fun activities with your child/children. Run by local Dads.

Parenting Courses
(10 week course) FAMILY LINKS NURTURING PROGRAMME - the Nurturing Programme helps to improve parents' confidence. It suggests ways of maintaining effective positive discipline, whilst gaining more understanding of their own and their child's emotional needs. Among many different skills, parents attending the 10 week course will learn to:
- recognise the value of consistency and set boundaries
- maintain positive discipline
- become a more confident, understanding parent
- value and nurture themselves as parents and carers.
(8 week course) SPEAKEASY - a fun and relaxed course that helps parents and carers to gain the knowledge and confidence they need to talk positively with their children about sex and relationships.
(9 week course) YMTD - you Make The Difference. In this course you will learn to understand and use words through play and activities, using books, music & bubbles to connect with your child.

The centre runs lots of different courses and training events throughout the year, whether you want to brush up your skills to help you get a job, find out about healthy lifestyles, learn new skills or become a volunteer, there will be something to interest you.

Nippers Day Nursery
Our popular Day Nursery is located in the main Lune Park Children's Centre building. Here you'll find cosy playrooms and friendly staff. We also have a lovely seaside-themed outdoor space. The nursery has a baby room, a 2-3's room and a pre-school room.

Lune Park Children's Centre in partnership with Lancaster's Citizen's Advice Bureau offers information and advice on subjects from debt, housing and tax credits to domestic violence. All advice given is free, confidential and impartial. If you live in North Lancaster contact 01524 382818 or call in to Lune Park Children's Centre. If you live in South Lancaster then the CAB holds a number of drop in sessions at 87 King St, Lancaster (see the CAB website for more details).
