If you're anything like me you'll pore over books and magazines in an attempt to arm yourself with as much information as possible before the birth. As the number of pregnancy titles available can be overwhelming I have put together a shortlist of books including week-by-week guides, real-life birth stories and baby name books. Contains lots of sound advice, positive birth stories and essential information to help you to choose the best birth plan for you. The fact that it's written in a funny and down to earth way is a bonus.
babycentre Pregnancy Questions and Answers
A great book - well laid out with lots of colour images throughout. The text is split into sections based on each trimester then labour and birth followed by the first six weeks after the birth. Includes lots of useful advice.
The Penguin Dictionary of First Names by David Pickering
This book is crammed with baby names and includes some really interesting facts and stories about each one.
