Carnforth Children's Centre

The Carnforth Hub is a bright, modern, purpose built venue located next to the High School. The Centre offers a wide range of exciting groups, courses and activities for families, parents/carers and children up to the age of 5 years. There is a free car park on site.

Upon entering "The Hub" you will be greeted by a member of our friendly staff. If no one is available, please feel free to come and chat to reception staff who are always willing to answer any questions, introduce you to the Centre and discuss the many exciting activities and services we offer.

The modern feel continues with the fantastic activities room in which most of our groups are held. There is also a lovely baby changing room leading off from the main room.

Monday

Inbetweenies - for children who are not babies but not yet confident walkers. Ideal for children aged approximately 12 months to 2 years. Come and join in the fun activities, including stories, songs and playtime.

Tuesday

Baby Club - for Babies & Tots. Come along for a chat and an opportunity for your child to play. All parents/carers are welcome.

Young People's Sexual Health Drop In - confidential advice and support, chlamydia screening, pregnancy testing, FREE contraception.

Wednesday

Baby Massage - for Babies from 8 weeks to 9 months. Massage may help with sleep problems, colic, constipation, relaxation and bonding with your baby. Drop-in session no need to book.

Thursday

Childminder's Drop in - registered childminder's group. Come and join us for 2 hours of fun and activities. Please phone Jo Dodd or Moyna Hargest on 01524 382818/727900 for details. Crafty kids runs every week alongside Childminders. Childminders stays alternate weeks.

Crafty Kids - a craft and activity group for Toddlers runs every week alongside Childminders. Please ring Dawn on 01524 382818/727900 for further details.

Friday

Fizzy Kids - a group where you and your child can have fun together through dance and physical activities using music and movement. For children aged 18 + months who are confident walkers. Term time only

Learning and training opportunities for parents

The centre runs lots of different courses and training events throughout the year, whether you want to brush up your skills to help you get a job, find out about healthy lifestyles, learn new skills or become a volunteer, there will be something to interest you.

The centre works closely with the Adult College and the Community Learning Network and some of the courses are accredited.
