One way to get the most out of your pregnancy is to join an antenatal class. Not only will you have a laugh at your ever expanding waistlines, compare notes and share your hopes and fears (and heartburn remedies!) but being around other pregnant women is a real bonding experience.

Aqua Natal
Venue: Salt Ayre Sports Centre, Doris Henderson Way, Salt Ayre Lane, Lancaster, LA1 5JS For women after 20 weeks of pregnancy. The group has the main pool at Salt Ayre to themselves. Please bring your hand held notes to these sessions. Free parking at this venue. Term time only. No sessions during Summer break. Will recommence as of Tue 8th Sept 2009.
New Mums and Mums-to-be Bumps and Babes - Mondays Venue: St Paul's Church Hall (opp St Paul's Church), Scotforth Rd, Lancaster Time: 10am-12noon Cost: £1 (includes refreshments)

Classes are designed for pregnant women so expect gentle stretching rather than a full-on workout. This type of exercise can help to keep you supple throughout your pregnancy. |
