Festival of Childhood in Lancaster 28th-31st May



Join Bay Bear for a Teddy Bears’ picnic


A long weekend of fun, games and festivities takes place in Lancaster over the Bank Holiday weekend 28th to 31st May.


Visitors to Lancaster City Centre can meet up with their favourite children’s characters as part of the themed street market every day.  The Appletree Playbus will visit the City on Friday and families can enjoy a wide range of street entertainment, games and face painting on Sunday and Monday. Also Appletree Children's Centre will be running a free craft area with face painting on Sunday so do come along.  The Bay Live outside broadcast and Bay Bear will host a teddy bears’ picnic on Sunday 30th May with best dressed bear and fancy dress competitions* for children aged 9 and under.


The City Centre activities will celebrate the Lancaster Unlocked, Festival of Childhood when cultural and heritage venues across the City will open their doors to offer a taste of childhood, past and present.
